Questions you should ask your breeder
Why is it important to buy a puppy whose parents have been health and/or genetic tested?
Just like people your puppies parents play a key role in his/her health, personality and demeanor. We have our breeding mommas and daddies health tested. We want to assure your precious blessing comes from two parents that are physically, emotionally and genetically healthy. Ask your breeder to see a copy of the parents health test.
Do your puppies come with their shots given and see a vet before they go home?
Absolutely! A puppie's health is so very important. We stay up to date on all vaccinations and de-wormings. When you leave with your sweet baby we will send you with a vaccination chart, vet check and a one, year health guarantee. We love all of our dogs, and their health is so important. We also have an extensive genetic and health testing done through a reputable testing lab to help assure that you and your baby are set up for a happy and healthy life together. Ask your breeder for a copy of the shot records and vet check.
Can you tell me the care that your dogs receive food, exercise, attention?
All of our dog's parents and puppies are our first priority. As you will see in our photos, they all have lots of room to roam. Each parent has free choice to come inside to a year-round temperature-controlled environment or to go outside to run and play in the fresh air or sunbath till their hearts are content. Their home is clean, odorless and disease free. We will ONLY top feed quality and nutritional feed. In addition to quality feed, we apply probiotics and additional vitamins. When our mommas are ready to have their babies, they come our special whelping room where they can enjoy the peace and quiet while they rest and care for their babies under constant supervision. When the babies are ready to wean, they graduate to the "teen room" where they continue with their positive stimulation program. We want each puppy to leave feeling confident and excited for their new home. Ask your breeder to see where your puppy was raised and videos of the puppy interacting with other dogs and people.
Does my pup come with a health guarantee?
Yes, he/she does come with a one-year health guarantee. I have never had a puppy be returned and we have full confidence of the genetic health of your special puppy. This is why we offer a one-year genetic health guarantee!
Can you tell me about the process for purchasing a puppy?
Purchasing a puppy should be exciting but very thorough. This is something you don't want to rush through, and we want you to be in love with your addition to your family. On our initial phone call, I want to be sure to answer any questions you have about our available puppies and to educate you about the breed (French Bulldog or Dachshund) and their needs. Next, we will schedule a virtual meeting to show you any available puppies that meet your desired qualities. At that time, I will also interview you to assure your lifestyle and environment is a good fit for that baby. It is important that every puppy enters its furever home that is safe, happy and healthy. Just as it is important that this baby is happy and healthy for you. This isn't a business to push puppies out the door. This is a passion to connect sweet babies to a loving home.
How do you socialize your puppies?
It is very important to introduce each young pup to a variety of textures, smells and sounds. We continuously change up the toys in their pen with toys that are soft, bumpy, squeaky, bouncy. They have an outdoor play area that has rocks, sand, concrete and bricks to climb on and around. We hang toys from the outside fence to play tug of war. Each littler takes turn running outside in the pasture playing with sticks and chasing butterflies. Constantly stimulating them helps them become comfortable with change and helps them be more comfortable long term with things that are new.
I Want a purebred Frenchie, but I don’t support puppy mills. Are breeders the same as puppy mills?
That is a great question, thank you for asking. The short answer is NO. Like any business there are reputable breeders and breeders that don't have the same quality of care and ethics. It is very important to research the breeder's you are considering purchasing from. Ask lots of questions, ask to see pictures of their facility and health guarantees. Please look at our photos to see the clean roomy facility our dogs are provided with. The photos do not include the huge play yard that they access when they go through that doggy door :) Another good question to ask is what health and genetic testing does the breeder have on the parents. It is so very important to know your special addition comes from healthy genetics. Socialization and one on one attention are important for mental and emotional stability. Ask your breeder to see the environment that your little blessing is being raised in. Is there plenty of room to play, fresh food and water. Do they get to play outside in the sunshine and fresh air?
Can we contact you after we take our puppy home?
