History of the Frenchie

Routine Care

In the late 19th century, the lace makers of Nottingham, England starting breeding a small Bulldog as a lap dog. The Frenchie then traveled to France and then Paris. The well-to-do Americans saw them and brought them to the US in the late 1800's

Find a good veterinarian for your puppy that has knowledge of short-faced patients. Frenchie's don't require a lot of grooming or exercise and generally do well in living quarters.  Be very cautious when in the outdoor sun. They overheat quickly.

Tempermant

They are quiet dogs who are very fond of people and thrive on socialization.  The French Bulldog has a quiet disposition and has no problem relaxing with you Saturday mornings.   Frenchies love water but can't swim. Generally, they are easy to train.  They want to make you happy and listen well.

Routine Care

Dachshunds are generally very clean dogs with little to no body odor.  Minimal grooming requirements should include: nail clipping, cleaning of ears bathing when necessary and teeth cleaning yearly is very important to long term health. Temperment

The Dachshund is clever, lively and courageous.  They are loving and affectionate to their family. The Dachshund craves being the center of all family activities.  They are protective of their environment because they are so loyal to family.

Dachshunds loves to cuddle.  If you sit down to relax they will surely want to join you. If you want a buddy who will be by your side to protect you look no further than the Dachshund!
